Hi there,

It's great you're using QuickBooks Online to easily manage your customers' orders. QuickBooks offers tons of great financial reports for your business needs, as well as the flexibility to filter them to focus on details that matter the most to you. I'll be happy to share more on this.

At this time, there's no filter option available to segment between recurring and first-time buyers. You can filter by customer to select specific customers you'd like to present on your report, but no feature can automatically distinguish new buyers from recurring ones. To learn more about how to personalize reports in the program, check out this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online

I've also noticed that you previously posted in the US community. In case you're using the US version of QuickBooks Online and not the Canadian version, please reach out to the US community here for proper assistance and to learn more about their filter options: QuickBooks Online US Community

I hope this helps! Have a great day.

really unfortunate.  This is the 2nd basic report that isn't available.  I've been using this for a few years now, and I've seen virtually no new reports, and I've heard nothing from QBO on any progress to implement said reports.

Where does QBO prioritize adding reports for customers that aren't there?  (I'm not referring to complex reports.)

Thanks

Hi again, 1231 4602 0456 814,

I can see how having a filter option on reports to automatically dissociate recurring from new-time buyers would benefit your business, and I encourage you to submit feedback directly to our engineers. We are always looking for new ideas to develop the software, and your opinion helps a lot with that.

Feel free to also visit our Apps menu to explore any third-party application that could better assist you in your tasks.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything else!

I did that, and I did that for the other reporting feature (basically to include data that's already in the system).  I submitted that one in August.

Do you folks have a standard turn-around time on communicating to clients with these matters?  It feels like these feedback suggestions just goes into an abyss.

I'm glad to hear you were able to share your thoughts with our product development team. You can rest assured that your feedback matters to us, and we take each of those into consideration. Even though we constantly update the program, there's no turn-around time for new product updates. However, when a new feature is rolled out, we make sure that every user gets notified about it.

I hope this helps provide some clarity on this for you. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

right.  forgive me for not holding my breath.

I'm not asking for a new feature.  I've submitted two requests months ago, and no one has communicated that a)they received it, and b)what they're going to do about it.  Not even an email saying, "hey, we're going to get around to looking at this in 2021".  That would unfortunately be a welcomed piece of communication.

Now I've asked my bookkeeper to source three alternatives to qbo (I'm going to have to spend resources evaluating) simply because I have no faith that qbo is going to address any of my questions/feedback.

Hi 1231 4602 0456 814,

Allow me to clarify. Submitting a request by going to the Gear icon > Feedback helps our engineers know which additional options you'd like to see in the product. It doesn't initiate a confirmation email, nor will you receive email updates from it. You'd generally receive email updates from our engineers when your account is part of an investigation created to resolve an issue. If that's the case for you and you have a ticket, I strongly encourage you to reach out to our tech support team for recent updates.

All the best to you!
