I'd like to know how to modify the Budget Vs Actual report-show Class by Customer(Job)in QB Pro 2010.Found Budget reports Class by Account/Month and Job by Account only.

Hello paingtt79,

Class can only be assigned through the following transactions:

  • entire customer transaction such as invoices, sales receipts, sales orders, etc.
  • transactions that directly affect accounts in the Chart of Accounts. For example, Expenses tab of a bill or check.

It cannot be assigned directly to the customer's profile. Hence, we cannot create or pull up a Budget Vs Actual report that shows Class by Customers (Jobs).

For now, we can customize the Transaction List by Customer to show Class:

  1. Open the Transaction List by Customer report.
  2. Click the Customize Report button.
  3. Add the Class column and click OK.

Then, you can export the customized report to Excel and compare it to your Budget Vs Actual.

Also, you might want to upgrade to the latest version to receive product updates and try new features.

Let me know if you have other concerns.
