Hi cherylklemmer,
Running your business with QuickBooks Online is such an awesome way to make your bookkeeping tasks go smoothly. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time, and I know how essential it is to work with a program that allows room for error. Don't worry, if you've accidentally entered some invoices into the wrong QBO account, I'll explain how to go about fixing this.
The first step will be to delete the invoices from the account they were entered into by mistake.
Follow these steps to delete an invoice:
1. Click the Sales tab on the left navigation menu.
2. Select Invoices.
3. Click the small triangle drop-down menu next to Receive payment.
4. Choose Delete.
If you've already received a payment towards the invoice, you'll have to delete that first. Click your invoice to open it, then click 1 payment made at the top right-hand side of the page.
Once you're on the payment screen, click More at the bottom of the page, then select Delete. Then you may proceed to deleting your invoice using the instructions above.
The next step is to enter the invoices into the correct account.
That's all there is to it. I hope this helps get you back on track. If you're in need of any further assistance, please reach out to our tech support team.
Cheers.
