Creating invoices in QuickBooks Online is a quick and simple process. I know how important it is for each of your invoices to have unique invoice numbers so you don't mix them up. I'll help explain how easy it is to change your invoice number if you've duplicated it.
Follow these steps to change the invoice #:
1. Click the Sales tab on the left navigation menu.
2. Select the Invoices tab.
3. Click your invoice to open it.
4. Manually change the number that appears in the "Invoice no." field at the top right corner of the invoice page.
5. Click Save.
