How can I create invoices to use for same services for multiple clients

Hey wayne-llewellyn_,

 

It's great to see that you're looking to further enhance the efficiency in your invoicing. Many small businesses send similar invoices to several of their customers, so it makes sense to automate as much of that as possible. QuickBooks Online comes packed with plenty of great functions to help you save time. By creating unscheduled recurring transactions, you'll be able to create similar invoices in just a few clicks so you'll have more time to focus on running your business. I'll be happy to guide you in setting this up.

 

While you could use the Copy function to generate similar invoices, the best way to manage this would be with recurring transactions. It's just a few simple steps to create one from scratch (note that you will need to select a Customer, which can be changed when using the template):

  1. Go to Settings ⚙.
  2. Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
  3. Select New.
  4. Select Invoice as the transaction type to create, and then select OK.
  5. Enter a Template name.
  6. Choose a Type: Unscheduled.
  7. Enter the invoice details, then select Save template.

Since this is unscheduled, no invoices will be created unless you select Use from the Action column of your recurring transactions list. When you do, you'll be able to enter your desired date and customer for an identical invoice.
