The dates on the invoice seem to be a month out. I bill an invoice Sept 2019 but the invoice reads Aug 2019

Hello intohotwater,

I'm happy to go over invoicing and dates. I know having the correct dates is a key part of bookkeeping and I want to make sure you're good to go.

The dates that populate when you create a new invoice are based off the previous invoice transaction you made. For instance, if your previous invoice was dated August 30, 2019, the next invoice you created would also be for that date. You could also create an invoice for a future date and the invoice you created after that would also be for that date.

I recommend reviewing the dates when you create transactions to ensure that you've got the correct ones when you're creating and entering the details on your invoices. Learn more about invoices here: Create an invoice and Record a customer payment

I hope that helps sort things out for you. Let me know if you have more questions!
