The option to pay within your client's invoice is only available for domestic transactions, Don.  I can help you sort out what's going on and why you're not seeing the option to pay in the Payments tab.

QuickBooks Payment is exclusively designed for domestic transactions within the same country. As a result, when creating invoices for customers using foreign currencies, the Pay Now feature is automatically unavailable. This limitation ensures compliance with international banking regulations and prevents potential complications associated with cross-border payments.

As a workaround, you can set up and use our Multicurrency feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This feature enables you to manage, send, and receive payments in various foreign currencies within a single account, streamlining your international business operations. However, you need to take note that once you've turned on this feature, there will be no option to make it disabled.

Once you're finished setting up this feature, you may now have to manually input all foreign currency transactions into your QBO account to ensure accurate record-keeping. It also gives you full control over your international financial activities. While it requires extra effort, it maintains the integrity of your financial data.

On the other hand, you can also look for a third-party vendor that will integrate your account to receive payment from foreign countries in QuickBooks.

Further, you can refer to this article to have an overview and to learn how Multicurrency functions as an effective support with business operations in QBO: Multi-currency FAQ.

Furthermore, you can also read this article if you want to learn how to set up your exchange rates in QBO: Enter and use your exchange rates in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Multicurrency feature or third-party integration options, Don. Please know that you can always revisit this thread. The Community is always here to extend a hand.
