Hello jamilmajid,

Thanks for joining us here in the QuickBooks Community! I'd be happy to go over the invoicing options in QuickBooks Self-Employed to make sure you have a sense of what's going on in the program.

Reading over your post, I have a feeling you may have meant that you want to create an invoice and save without having to enter the customer email address. QuickBooks Self-Employed started out as simply an app without a browser access option. Because of that, the invoicing option wants you to email your invoices to your customers since there wasn't previously a way to print the invoices to give to your customers. This is why the program is requiring you to enter an email address before being able to save a draft or save and send the transaction. There isn't a way around this at this time.

If you're not looking to send the invoices to your customers via email, you can consider entering your own email address and send it to yourself instead, which would then allow you to save the invoice as needed. I know that may not be ideal though, so I recommend leaving feedback for this QuickBooks Self-Employed feature by following these steps.

  1. Select the Assistant feature.
  2. Type and enter "feedback."
  3. Follow the prompts.

We're always looking for new ways to enhance the program, and comments from users like you help us do that. Don't hesitate to share your thoughts with us!

Have a great week.
