Creating invoices is very simple in QuickBooks Online. It's our goal to give you the power to adjust, edit, and customize your invoice as you see fit. We want you to be in charge of your bookkeeping! I'll explain the steps for changing the margins on your invoice template.
Follow these steps to adjust the margin widths and labels:
1. Click the Gear icon > Custom form styles.
2. Click New style > Invoice.
3. Select the Content tab from the upper menu, then click the centre portion of the invoice.
4. Click EDIT LABELS AND WIDTHS.
5. Make the necessary adjustments using the scale bar, then click Done.
You can also do this on the current invoice you're working on, rather than creating a new style. This is helpful if you're in the middle of creating your invoice and you don't want to begin again from scratch. To do that, click Customize at the bottom of the invoice, then click Edit Current. Follow the same steps as listed above.
