I am trying to record my GST return payment but it won't let me choose which bank account to pay from

My only option is to pay from my Cash Float, the drop down arrow doesn't show any options to change to my chequing account. This has never happened before.

Thanks for reaching out here.  Welcome!  It's important that you're able to record your sales tax payment QuickBooks Online, without delay.  I'd be glad to assist!

 

Due to the unexpected behavior you've described, I recommend clearing cache on your browser, if you haven't done so already.  I'd also like to suggest trying other browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Private or Incognito.
