Hi cathy-cathykorpi,
Welcome to Community! QuickBooks Online provides the features you need to ensure you're sales tax is recorded accurately. I'd be glad to assist!
Initially, I suggest unfiling the return, if you you haven't made payment. This will allow you to ensure all transactions have been recorded, so your sales tax filing is accurate. Follow these steps to unfile the sales tax;
1. From the left menu, open Taxes and then Sales tax
2. Select the Filings tab
3. Click on the ▼ dropdown menu to the right of the item to be unfiled and select Undo filing
4. When you're ready, select Prepare return
5. Review the information and hit Adjust for Tax Collected, as you see necessary
6. Hit Save and then Mark as filed
Here's a valuable guide, for your reference.
