When I post a JE to misc sales and gst collected, the gst collected shows up on my GST report, but the report isn't picking up the sales amount. How to correct ?

If you've created an invoice for the transaction, the best course of action is to receive payment directly to the invoice. This will prevent it from appearing as 'overdue'. However, I feel you would benefit more by contacting Customer Care team outside of Community. They would enjoy the opportunity to work with you in real-time, and review your situation in more depth, to determine if a journal entry is the best fit for accomplishing your QuickBooks goals.
