QuickBooks allows customers to switch from its desktop version to the online version easily. To import your QuickBooks Desktop data into QuickBooks Online, take the following steps:
- In QuickBooks Desktop, click Company in the menu and select Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
- Enter your QuickBooks Online login credentials on the QuickBooks Online login screen.
- Choose whether you want to import your inventory data.
- Select the company you want to import the data to in the drop-down list, or choose the Create New Online Company option to create a new one.
- Click the Continue button.
- Click the OK, Got It button.
- You’ll receive an email when the import is complete.
