TORONTO, ON – July 24, 2017 – Today, Intuit Canada, the makers of QuickBooks, Canada’s leading financial management software announces its upcoming Advanced Payroll solution for QuickBooks Online. This new solution will complement Intuit’s standard payroll offering by providing accountants and small business owners with a new robust, worry-free way to pay employees and independent contractors.
Available soon through a limited Beta test and planned to launch publicly this fall, Advanced Payroll supports a comprehensive list of deductions and contributions as well as payroll remittance services, all while never having to leave QuickBooks Online. It also provides employee access to a self-serve portal to print their pay stubs and year-end T4, T4A and RL-1 tax slips, freeing up valuable time for accountants and entrepreneurs to focus on their businesses.
Powered by Wagepoint, a Canadian technology company specializing in online payroll software for small businesses, Advanced Payroll will effortlessly manage even the most complex payroll from anywhere at any time. The Wagepoint integration has been entirely redesigned to match the look and feel of QuickBooks Online, offering a fully in-sync experience.
“Wagepoint is proud to be working alongside Canada’s biggest accounting software platform to expand new time-saving features in QuickBooks Online — simplifying one of the most complex aspects of running a successful business,” said Shrad Rao, CEO, Wagepoint. “This advanced payroll solution within QuickBooks Online means that accountants, bookkeepers and entrepreneurs will never have to worry about the basics again, empowering them to focus on what really matters — growing their business.”
“This powerful offering is designed to meet a critical customer need — a comprehensive, QuickBooks Online-integrated solution to easily pay employees and manage payroll,” said Jeff Cates, President, Intuit Canada. “What makes our advanced payroll solution even more exciting for me, is that this powerful new functionality is born of the Canadian entrepreneurial ecosystem, driven by a Canadian startup for Canadian accountants and entrepreneurs to fuel small business success nationwide.”
Intuit has made a commitment to providing an ecosystem of innovative products and services that will help Canadian entrepreneurs build a solid foundation for new businesses. Wagepoint is the latest in a long list of incredible Canadian startups that Intuit has collaborated with to help better serve its customers. Over the past four years, Intuit has expanded its ecosystem from four to over 200 app integrations on Apps.com, more than any other small business accounting solutions company in the market. In addition to Wagepoint, the Canadian startup ecosystem has produced several of Intuit’s best-in-class app partners, including Dream Payments, HubDoc, Jobber and Shopify, who help to collectively enable the success of accountants and their small business clients.
