New Business View Navigation Menu Launched on QuickBooks Online

The QuickBooks Online navigation bar is changing to help small business owners find what they need more quickly and easily. You’ll see a consolidated menu and new terminology by selecting Business View from the account settings.

What’s going to change?

The new Business View contains the same features as the current navigation — it’s just organized to better suit the needs of business owners.

Some of the changes include:

  • The Business overview menu is now home to Cash flow, Reports, Planner, and Projects.
  • Get paid & pay is home to the Customers, Invoices, Time, and Suppliers.
  • Payroll is home to Payroll features and Time
  • Bookkeeping is home to Transactions, Banking, Expenses, Chart of Accounts, and Tags

Why are we making these changes?

We’ve heard from new QuickBooks Online customers that it’s hard to find what they need quickly because the navigation has too many options. We’ve designed the new navigation based on customers’ feedback, recommended terminology and groupings, and tasks they’ve told us they’re trying to complete. We rely on testing to ensure that we’re improving the experience before broadly making a change.

As business owners increasingly turn to QuickBooks to solve more business needs – from money movement and worker management, to coordinating e-commerce and financial planning – it is our goal to ensure they can easily and effectively run their business.

Who will see these changes?

Users that identified as business owners during setup and created a new company after February 1, 2022 will see the new Business View.

When will this be available to my clients?

Existing customers will start seeing Business View in mid-2022.

If you or your client want to continue using the current navigation bar, you still can. The current navigation bar will be known as Accountant View. You can switch your view at anytime.
