Add or edit your Intuit Account payment method

Occasionally, you may need to add or edit the payment method for your Intuit Account. You can do this on your own with a few steps. Here's how:

 

Step 1: Add or edit your payment method in QuickBooks Online

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account as the primary admin. Select the Settings (gear icon) menu, then select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab. Select Edit next to your payment method, then select Add new in the wallet listing.
  3. Select an appropriate payment method and add the payment method details. Select Save payment method to my Intuit profile. When you’re ready, select Save and use.

 

Step 2: Add or edit your payment method in QuickBooks Online Accountant

  1. Sign in as a primary or company admin. Select the Settings (gear icon) menu, then select Billing & subscription.
  2. Select the Billing details tab. Select Edit billing information, then choose Add new within the wallet listing.
  3. Choose the appropriate payment method and add the payment method details. Select Save payment method to my Intuit profile. When you’re ready, select Save and use.

 

Step 3: Add or edit your payment method in QuickBooks Self-Employed

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed using a web browser. Select your profile (gear icon), then choose Billing info.
  2. In the Payment Information section, select Edit. Select Add new within the wallet listing. Choose the appropriate payment method and add the payment method details.
  3. Select Save payment method to my Intuit profile. When you’re ready, select Save and use.

 

Step 4: Troubleshooting issues

If you encounter any issues while adding or editing your Intuit Account payment method, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take. Here are some common issues and their solutions:

 

  • Issue: Your payment method won't save.
    Solution: Make sure that you've entered all the necessary information and that there are no errors in the information.
  • Issue: Your payment method has been declined.
    Solution: Check that your credit card information is up-to-date and that you have enough funds in your account.

 

By adding or editing your Intuit Account payment method, you'll be able to make sure that your subscription fees are paid on time, and that you don’t experience any disruptions to your services.
