Change date range of workpapers gifi export to match our fiscal year?

This is my question as well. I have a client who has changed his company's fiscal year-end and I need to file a part-year tax for the company. QBO does not let me change the date range for gifi export

Hi aytajalli. Thanks for taking the time to chime in on this thread. It's vital you're able to change the date range for the Workpapers GIFI export and I'll be happy to help. To make sure we're both on the same page, what's the date range you're looking to download? Which date range options are you currently seeing on your end?

I have a company that they have changed their year-end. So they need to file their taxes with the new year-end which is for 8 months. The range I see is for the full year but I need to have gifi for an 8-month period. I mean 8 months before the new fiscal year-end 

Hi zmaleki51. Glad to hear from you again. I'd be happy to answer your question so you can get back to doing what you enjoy. I can see the importance of being able to change the date range of the Workpapers for 8 months, however, since you're using QuickBooks Online according to your previous post, this capability isn't available. I'd highly recommend sending feedback to our engineers if you haven't already. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. Let me know if you need help with this. I'll be on standby.
