Yes, Richard. Granting external access to your accountant is possible. If they already have a QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) account, they can immediately view your company after accepting the invite. Otherwise, they'll be routed to a page where they can create a free account.
To outline the steps, here's how:
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online account as the primary administrator.
- Go to Gear Icon and select Manage Users.
- Select the Accounting Firms tab.
- If you are inviting an accountant for the first time, please enter the accountant's email address and then click Invite Follow the on-screen prompts to verify your account.
To learn more what are the privileges and features your accountant can access to manage your account, you can check this article: Use accountant tools and features in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
For future reference, on how to remove an accountant, you can follow the steps from this article outlined in the Remove an Accountant section: Remove Accountant .
Let me know if you have further concerns about adding users to your QBO account. I'm always here to back you up with QuickBooks. Take care, Richard.
