You can record the sales tax payment from the tax center in QuickBooks, p-seu-dio. The instructions provided below will lead you through a detailed, step-by-step process.

In QuickBooks Online, you can manually record sales tax payments right after you prepare a return. This process will clear your payables and keep your info up-to-date.

Here's how:

  1. Select Sales tax in the left panel.
  2. In the Filings tab, find the return you just filed from the Filed section.
  3. Click the View summary dropdown, then choose Record payment.
  4. Pick the account you're making the payment in the Payment From dropdown.
  5. Choose the Payment Date and enter the amount in the Payment Amount field.
  6. Select the outstanding tax payment and adjust the amount as needed.
  7. If necessary, select Add interest/penalty. Provide the details in the Add interest/penalty form and select Save.
  8. Hit Record payment.
