I love that you're looking to upgrade to take advantage of the features available in the Plus package of QuickBooks Online. Hopefully that means your business is growing and you need to expand upon how you already manage your books because of it.
With QuickBooks Online subscriptions, the power is in your hands. Upgrading or downgrading your subscription takes place right in your account's settings and I'll guide you through the steps.
- Select the Gear icon.
- Choose Account and Settings.
- Navigate to the Billing & Subscription tab.
- Click Upgrade your plan.
- Follow the steps to do so.

There are a few circumstances where you wouldn't see the Billing & Subscription tab in your account's settings: you're under your accountant's billing or you're under app store billing through Apple or Google Play. Since you're already on an Essentials plan, you're likely not on app store billing since that option only offers EasyStart packages. So if you're not seeing the billing tab, you may be under your accountant's billing, in which case you should reach out to them to upgrade your account.
