Hi there,
Running your accounting firm with QBO has tons of benefits, including accessing all of your client's books in one place, and taking advantage of exclusive features like Pro Tax. I know how handy this feature is when it comes time to file your taxes. I'll help point you in the right direction for help with this.
You can create a return from scratch to file for your own firm. To do this, however, you will need to add your firm as a ‘client’ within your QuickBooks Online Accountant. There is no connection between your firm’s QuickBooks Online and Pro Tax at this time.
If you'd like Pro Tax to autofill with your Business Number information, you'll simply sign in using the credentials from your BN, rather than your Rep ID. You don't need to change anything on the return itself.
I hope this helps! If you need any further assistance with this, feel free to touch base with our expert Pro Tax agents. To get in touch with Pro Tax support, click the Pro Tax tab on the left navigation menu, then click Pro Tax Help in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
I'm confident this team will get you back on track in no time. You can also review this helpful article for more information you may find helpful: Pro Tax FAQs.
If you still have additional questions to run by our tech support team, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers.
How do you set it up with a Group id if it was set up with a personal Rep id?
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
