In my QB self-employed account there is no option to add an accountant.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's great to have you with us and I'm thrilled you've chosen the QuickBooks Self-Employed option to manage your books. I'm happy to go over the options when it comes to connecting with an accountant using QuickBooks.

 

QuickBooks Self-Employed is the most simplified version of the QuickBooks software and currently offers a single-user service. At this time, accountant users cannot be added to the QuickBooks Self-Employed Canada software. I encourage you to submit feedback for the product development team about this by going to the Assistant menu, then typing and entering "feedback." This will trigger prompts you can follow to learn how to share your thoughts with that team.

 

If you're looking for the option to connect with an accountant more immediately, you can consider QuickBooks Online. This is our other cloud-based service, geared toward small business owners, and gives you the option to add accountant users. I'll leave you a couple links below to help in your decision-making.
