Can I customize GL screen so I can get the selected field all the time? I do not need to make my selection every time?

The General Ledger is an incredible report giving you a clear image of everything going on in your business' financials. We can elevate it even further by making use of QuickBooks Online's powerful report customization features, and it sounds like you’ve already found the right settings for your business. I’ll be happy to assist you to streamline running this report.

 

The easiest way to preserve your report settings is to save it as a custom report. This is particularly useful for large customizations, but it’s a huge time saver for any report you expect to run often. You can do this in just a couple easy steps:

 

  1. Head to the Reports tab and open the General Ledger.
  2. Select Customize.
  3. Once the report is customized the way you like it, select Run report, then Save customization.
  4. In the Custom report name field, enter a descriptive name for the report.
  5. (Optional) If you want to add this report to a group, select Add this report to a group, then choose an existing group or create a new one.
  6. (Optional) If you want to share the report to other users’ My custom reports, select Share with, then choose the users.
  7. Once the desired options are set, select Save.

Once that’s done, you can run this report at any time in just two quick steps by going to Reports, then selecting Custom Reports.
