The General Ledger is an incredible report giving you a clear image of everything going on in your business' financials. The easiest way to preserve your report settings is to save it as a custom report. This is particularly useful for large customizations, but it’s a huge time saver for any report you expect to run often. You can do this in just a couple easy steps:
- Head to the Reports tab and open the General Ledger.
- Select Customize.
- Once the report is customized the way you like it, select Run report, then Save customization.
- In the Custom report name field, enter a descriptive name for the report.
- (Optional) If you want to add this report to a group, select Add this report to a group, then choose an existing group or create a new one.
- (Optional) If you want to share the report to other users’ My custom reports, select Share with, then choose the users.
- Once the desired options are set, select Save.
