anyone else getting error code 155 with desjardins banking?

I can see how vital it is for you to connect your banks to QuickBooks, carrxpert. I’m here to provide insight into the error you’ve encountered and help you manage your transactions in QuickBooks effectively.

Bank error 155 occurs when your bank prevents QuickBooks from connecting and retrieving your data. This issue usually resolves itself once your financial institution allows a connection with QuickBooks.

To address the error message, I recommend contacting your bank and requesting them to enable connectivity with QuickBooks. If the problem continues, please ask the bank’s representative to elevate the matter through our OFX Connectivity page for a resolution. Ensure to take note of your case or ticket number for future reference.

In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online using Web Connect. First, prepare an Excel CSV file of your transactions. After ensuring the file format and size are correct, you can import them into QuickBooks

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Choose the Link account ▼ dropdown, then select Upload from file.

  4. Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, select Continue.
  5. In the Select a QuickBooks account for the bank file you want to upload ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, select Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Continue.
  8. Click Yesthen Done.

Once your transactions are uploaded to QuickBooks, it's important to review and categorize them properly. Additionally, to maintain accurate books and prevent duplicate entries, I recommend reconciling your account.

Should you encounter any issues with the bank connection process or need assistance with QuickBooks, please do not hesitate to reach out by replying below, carrxpert. I'm committed to providing you with the support you need. Take care and stay safe.
