Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to import all your credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Nick.
QuickBooks relies on the information your bank provides. To find the missing transactions, let's ensure they were imported, search for them, check your account filters, and review the Banking menu. This helps keep your records accurate and current.
First, check that QuickBooks has downloaded your latest bank transactions. Here’s how you can do it:
- From the Banking tab, select the bank account you are working with.
- Click Update to download the latest transactions from your bank.
- After downloading, be sure to add or match the transactions so they line up with your QuickBooks records. They will only show up in your books once you categorize them.
If you’ve downloaded your transactions but still can’t find them, try using the search and filter tools to help locate them. Here’s what to do:
- From the Banking tab, select the account you're having trouble with.
- Click Transactions to see a list of all transactions in that account.
- Use the search bar to look for the transaction by name, amount, or date range.
- If you still cannot see the transaction, select Filter and check that the current filters are not excluding the transaction you are looking for.
- Adjust the filters as needed and tap Apply to see if the transaction appears.

If you still have trouble, you can manually upload your transactions into QBO. After uploading, match and categorize them so they go into the right accounts, and then reconcile to make sure everything is correct.
