How can I access my data if I only cancelled under a year ago?

Hello deez-wear,

At QuickBooks, we know having access to your records when you need them is vital, especially for business owners, so that you have the details you need to handle filings to the government and other tasks that need doing. I'd be happy to go over what happens when you cancel an account and how to access your data.

When you cancel a QuickBooks Online subscription, the program stays active until the end of your billing period and then goes into a read only mode for 12 months from when the account goes inactive. You can export or print information as needed, but you won't be able to enter any new data. During the 12-month period, you can easily access your data by logging back into QuickBooks. Here's how.

  1. Go to qbo.ca.
  2. Hover over Sign in and choose QuickBooks Online.
  3. Enter the same login credentials you used previously (if you don't remember, use the I forgot my user ID or password option to retrieve that information).

That should get you the access you need to your data since you say it's been less than a year since you've cancelled. Once it's over a year, the system purges the account and its information from the system. To prevent losing important documents and information, you can explore the options for exporting here: Export reports, lists, and more

If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask them. I'm here to help!
