I had a Quickbooks Payment deposit go into a closed account and it says deposited. I refunded it via the Payments module... and it is still pending.

The bank said to contact Quickbooks. Should this be sorted without an issue since I refunded the deposit?

Hello info-moratoriumc,

Welcome to Community!  Providing your customers with the option to pay directly from the invoice they receive, is a great way to prevent overdue accounts.  When QuickBooks processes customer payments, the funds are deposited into the bank account you chose when setting up QuickBooks Online Payments. However, there may be times when the deposit fails, due to underlying circumstances.  If this happens, you'll receive an email notification with the specific code, along with a description and the steps that need to be taken.

To ensure your funds are received, please follow these steps to review and update your bank information for QuickBooks Online Payments;

1. Log into QuickBooks Online from a web browser
2. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings
3. Click on the Payments tab. In the Deposits section next to Standard deposits, select Change next to your existing bank account
4. Hit Add new bank account
5. Enter the card number
6. Follow the prompts to enter your login credentials and connect your account
7. Hit Save
QuickBooks will start depositing customer payments from online invoices and other sources into the new account.

Should you require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us outside of Community. It would be our pleasure to work with you directly, and ensure your funds are received without delay!

Feel free to reach back out with any other questions. We would be glad to assist!
