Hi,
Please help me. I have been trying for a week to make this work. I followed all procedures and then when I try to import the .CSV file I downloaded from Etsy, it says "Darn, it's probably our fault..." and then this following box appears. This is my Trial month and I really wish to subscribe to QBSE, but it looks like it's able only to sync transactions for this month. Please help. I don't want to switch to a different bookkeeping software. Thank you!
Hello pl20,
Thanks for giving QuickBooks Self-Employed a shot! I want to make sure you're able to take full advantage of your trial period to determine if this is the right software for your needs. Errors like these can definitely slow down that process, so I want to make sure this gets resolved as quickly as possible.
When you run into these kinds of prooblems, one of the best steps to take is making sure your browser is clear of any cache issues. Since QuickBooks Self-Employed is a cloud platform, it can run into snags if there are temporary files in the cache that don't need to be there. The way to address this is clearing the cache. Here are the steps you can follow: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues. Don't worry, even though the article is titled for QuickBooks Online, you can still select the browser you're using to follow the steps given to clear the cache.
If that doesn't do the trick, I recommend contacting QuickBooks Self-Employed support outside of the Community. An agent will be able to work with you one-on-one to get to the bottom of this. Here's how to get in touch.
Wishing you the best moving forward with this. Enjoy the rest of your day. :)
Was there ever a solution to this? I am having the same issue
Hi NorthernDlights,

When you attempt to import your CSV files be sure that you follow the steps listed in this article: Importing Transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.
As explained by my colleague above, if you're not getting the results you expect to see, you may need to clear your cache and cookies. Here are some internet browser troubleshooting steps that you can try:
It may be necessary to log out or log back into your QuickBooks Self-Employed account between these steps and try to import your file.
You can always reach support in-product as well through the Assistant feature. Just type in talk to human for one-on-one support.
I hope you found this helpful. Have a good night!
