ex: i just paid a bill by credit card. the bank chequing account is correct in quickbooks, but the quickbooks hasn't yet updated that Ive paid the bill, despite having refreshed numerous times.

Some banks send new information every other day, every week, or on some other schedule. You can manually update your bank if the process appears to be stuck. This will trigger the connection issues prompting for automatic updates. To update manually, follow the steps below:

Thank you for this info. It must just be that my bank doesn’t send info very often. I had no idea this is how it worked. I just assumed it was all in “real time” as in, whatever happened with my bank account would automatically/instantly show in QB. I use BMO. so good to know! Thank you. I don’t want to manually update as I know eventually it will show, then will just be duplicated. So I guess I have to be more patient. It’s hard to keep track and stay on top of things when everything is so delayed.
