Thanks for reaching out to us here. QuickBooks Online provides the option to set your preferences, so transactions are automatically categorized. When this feature is no longer working, there are a couple of areas to review. I would be happy to help!
I recommend reviewing your preferences in the Banking section of your books. Here's how;
1. Open Transactions, then Bank transactions from the left menu
2. Select the tile for the account
3. Click on the small ⚙ above the Action column
4. Place a checkmark beside Enable suggested categorization
In addition, you can see if the option is also selected, if you've created a Bank rule, by following these steps;
1. Open Transactions, then Bank rules
2. Locate the rule and scroll down to Automatically confirm transactions this rule applies to
3. Place a checkmark in the box to turn this on
4. Hit Save.
