Can access my previos transfer posts? How?

Hello harv-schellriver,

There are a few ways to transfer funds in QuickBooks Online, but perhaps the simplest way is to use the built-in Transfer feature. I know that when using this option, it can be a bit unclear as to how to review those transactions again. I want to assure you that it is possible, and I'll outline a few ways to do so.

The first way you can find a previous transfer is to return to the Transfer feature and use the clock icon to review prior transactions. You can select one to reopen it and make changes as needed or just review the details. Here are the steps you'd take.

  1. Select the +New icon.
  2. Choose Transfer.
  3. Click the clock icon in the upper left.
  4. Click the desired transfer.

Here's a visual of what the clock icon looks like, along with the menu that appears when you click it. I've outlined the clock in green to make it easier to see.

Another way to find your transfers is by going to the account registers for one of the accounts used in the transfer. There, you can see all transactions related to that account and can even open them right from there if needed. Follow these steps.

  1. Select Accounting from the left menu.
  2. On the Chart of Accounts page, choose Account history for one of the accounts in question.
  3. Look for Transfer in the Ref No. Type column to help locate the transaction.
  4. Click the transaction to view details.
  5. Choose DeleteEdit, or Save as needed.

Finally, if you're simply hoping to review the details of the transfer, you can consider using the Audit Log. This are of the account shows you all activity in taking place in your books and when you click View, you can review the related details. You can also open the transaction from there if you'd like. The Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online article goes over how to access and use this feature.

I hope that this has been helpful. I encourage you to use whatever method you prefer to access prior transfers. Feel free to ask more questions if you have them. :)
