Hello,

QuickBooks Online Payroll is the best way to expand the capabilities of your bookkeeping software, keeping everything organized and in one place. If you're using Standard Payroll, you'll have the option to run direct deposit, or print pay cheques directly from the program. I'd be happy to help if you're running into issues when trying to print pay stubs.

With Standard Payroll you can print pay cheques as well as pay stubs. If you're having trouble printing the actual cheques, this article will help you out: Print paycheques in QuickBooks Online. To print the cheques, ensure you're using QBO compatible cheques, and ensure you've set up cheque alignment properly. This is all discussed in greater detail in the article listed above.

If you're writing cheques outside of QuickBooks Online, the process to print your pay stubs should be simple and straightforward. Here's an article that will help you with that: Print pay stubs in QuickBooks Online. As explained there, you'll follow these simple steps to print your stubs:

Step 1: If you haven't already, make sure you're set up to print plain paper stubs.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. In the Preferences section, select Paycheque Printing.
  3. Select Plain paper stubs, then select OK.

Step 2: Print pay stubs

  1. Go to the Employees or Payroll menu, then select Employees.
  2. Select Paycheque list.
  3. Select the paycheques you'd like to print, then select Print.

That's all there is to it. If you're still in need of further assistance, please reach out to our tech support team directly.

Take care.
