Thanks for reaching out to us here. I can understand your concern with the notifications being received, when your transactions are updated in QuickBooks Online. I would be happy to provide some insight here!
QuickBooks Online requires multi-factor authentication for security. You'll be asked to verify your identity to ensure secure access to your account. When you connect your accounts, they're typically updated around 10 pm PT. However, if the QuickBooks Online server is unable to obtain updated information for a particular online account, it attempts the update up to five additional times over the next five hours.
