Can i delete pay cheques submitted for a direct deposit payroll run on Tues for a friday pay. The deadline is wed at 5PM. Do I need to do anything else?

Hi, Gwen-paw. Yes, you can still cancel it. 

When the paycheque status is still pending (before Wednesday 5:00 PM PT), the direct deposit will not be processed once you delete the transaction. 

However, if it's already been offloaded, the payroll is electronically sent to Intuit's Automatic Clearing House (ACH) for processing. This process cannot be stopped. In such cases, you can arrange an internal agreement with your employees to have the funds returned.

To delete the paycheque, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to Payroll, then choose Employee.
2. Click the Paycheque list and then filter by the dates you want to edit.
3. On the Paycheque page, select the dropdown arrow under the Action column and choose Delete.  
4. Make the required changes, then click Save.
