Change Pay Period Type on ROE

I need to regenerate an ROE to change the Pay Period Type from non-standard semi monthly to semi monthly.

Change Pay Period Type on ROE

Hi christina-clyde,

 

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online has everything you need to accomplish your payroll tasks with peace of mind.  I'd be glad to assist!

 

To regenerate a Record of Employment and edit the information, you'll need to make the employee active again.  Here's how;

 

1. Open Payroll and then Employees from the left menu

2. Use the ▼ dropdown menu to change the filter to Inactive Employees

3. Select the Employee 

3. Click on the Edit ✎ beside Employment

4. Change the Status to Active 

5. Open the Pay tab at the top and scroll down to the section 'How often do you pay [employee name]

6. Make the necessary changes to the Pay schedule

7. Hit Done to save the changes.

You're all set and ready to create the Record of Employment.

Change Pay Period Type on ROE

Thanks for your reply. When I created the ROE initially (I need to amend the ROE), there was an option to choose the Pay Period Type (it did not autofill based on how the Employee was already set up) so I'm hesitant to now go in and change the existing Payroll settings. Is there a way to delete the existing ROE? At least then I could start from scratch and enter the details correctly.
