How do i switch an employee from paper cheque to direct deposit. I've put all their banking info in. And i've had our chequing account verified by QB already.

It's nice to see you in QuickBooks Community.  Welcome!  QuickBooks Online Payroll enables you to edit your employees as necessary, so you can pay them with confidence.  I'd be glad to help!

 

After you've completed the process to set up direct deposit, you edit your staff by following these steps;

 

1. Have the employee(s) complete the Direct Deposit Authorization Form
2. Open Payroll, then Employees from the left menu
3. Select the employee to be set up for direct deposit
4. Click on Edit next to the Payment method and then Direct Deposit from the ▼ dropdown menu
5. Complete the required fields using the information from the employee's authorization form
6. Hit Save.

I already did all that. And i've tripled checked it. But when i go to pay the employee it still says paper cheque it won't let me select direct deposit

If you're not able to access the Direct deposit option after completing all the steps provided by my colleague, I recommend reaching out to the phone support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. You can reach them by following one of these methods:

 

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
