Paystubs still show old address even though I've updated the company address in various sections

We've recently moved to a new location and I've updated our address in QBO but employee paystubs are still showing the old address - why doesn't the paystub print with the new address? 

 

I've updated each employee individually to the new address, I've changed the general tax info section and changed the company address and legal address in the Accounts and Settings section.  Is there another place that I need to change in order for the paystubs to print the correct address on them?

It's a pleasure to see you in Community.  Welcome!  Having your company information accurate is key when paying your staff.  QuickBooks Online Payroll enables you to edit your settings as you see necessary.  I'd be happy to assist!

 

Here's how to edit your company information;

 

1. Open Settings ⚙ and then Payroll settings

2. Select the Edit ✎ for the General Tax section

3. Make the necessary changes 

4. Hit Save

 

In addition, from the Payroll settings, select the Edit ✎ for the Contact information section, enter the required fields and hit Save.

Thanks but I'd already done all of those changes as well as changing each employee to the correct work location but the paystubs that I just printed out still have our old work address on them - and that address is not showing up anywhere in my account or in any setting.  I've cleared out my cache and changed my browser but QBO is still pulling our old address.

Just to confirm, after changing the address on your end, have you created a new paystub or are pulling up the ones that existed prior to making the address change?

To confirm, I changed all the addresses that I could find (both in general set up and in Payroll) and then I ran payroll. It still pulled our old address.  I'm wondering if there is another section that I am not aware of that I need to update.  From the online community and help files, I've changed everything that was mentioned but I'm still having this issue.

It's vital that all your information be displayed correctly on the paystubs. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with changing the address.

 

If you've used the steps mentioned above, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account in the system to help you get the correct information displayed on the paystubs. You can reach them using the contact details mentioned earlier.

As we are coming into year-end mode I haven't had a chance to reach out to the support team.

No this hasn't been resolved.  Truthfully, I haven't had time to call Support and have them assist me to see if the can figure out why their software is having this issue.

This issue is now resolved.  I was able to connect with Support and they did some work in the background and were able to fix the issue.

We also had to call in and QB had to change it on the backside. Not sure why this isn't something that can be directly changed by the user, but at least it's finally resolved.

Hi there IG06,

 

It's vital that your employees receive the correct amount of pay for the hours they've worked. QuickBooks Online Payroll is a great tool to help you calculate pay, deductions, and contributions for employees for each pay period. I can provide some information about updating your address in QuickBooks Payroll.

 

In order to update the address shown for the company on paycheques, you'd need to update your company's Primary Work location by going to the Gear Icon, then Payroll settings. Click on Work Locations, then click on Edit beside the Primary Work Location to update it to the new address. This change will update the address for all paycheques in the system, including prior pay cheques, so if you'd like to keep a copy of those cheques with the prior address, you'd need to save the PDF of those cheques, or, when retrieving them, you'd need to update the Primary Work Location to the previous one before retrieving the prior cheques.
