Hi,
Wondering if there is a way to have Quickbooks automatically pay out unused PTO at an employees anniversary date. We keep the "reset hours each new year?" checked and adjust the "year begins on" date to their anniversary. Just wondering if there would be a way to pay out the PTO without me having to track every single employees anniversary that is coming up and see if they have PTO left to pay out it out. Any suggestions?
Hi VEPayroll,
Welcome to the community. Being able to run payroll is essential to ensure that your employees get paid. QuickBooks Payroll is a great program that gives you the ability to pay your employees and track your remittances. I'd be glad to provide you with information regarding the automatic payment for the unused PTO.
At the moment, QuickBooks Desktop payroll doesn't offer the option to automatically pay unused PTO to your employees. The option available is to continue to manually track your employee anniversaries. The other option is to find a third-party app that can complete the task you're trying to do.
If this is an option you'd like to include in QuickBooks Desktop, I recommend that you send us feedback by clicking on the Help tab at the top > Send Feedback online. This is sent to our Development Team to consider for future updates. Your comments are crucial to provide you the best possible user experience.
