I am tracking time for hourly employees using WorkForce. How do I use time when in payroll when the pay period has not ended yet but I have to submit for auto payroll?

Auto payroll needs to be submitted several days before the end of the pay period, but employees can work overtime, have days off, get sick, etc., in those last days. But I need to pay employees for the potential days worked at the end of the pay period.

Hi there, Peter. I’ll provide information about this below.

 

In QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), the option to adjust real-time for the advance payroll period is unavailable. You’ll have to manually enter your employee's working hours in the Workforce, even if they will be working overtime, taking sick leave,  or making other changes during the final days of the pay period.

 

As an alternative, I recommend communicating with your employees to handle adjustments and corrections in the next payroll cycle.
