Let me have the pleasure to help share information about running payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).


I've checked that we've received several issues reported by other users affected about not being able to run payroll in QBO. A ticket was already submitted about the issue and our engineers are now working and gathering details to implement the best solution.


As of now, I suggest getting in touch with our Support Team. This way, they'll be able to add you to the list of affected users in this investigation (INV-33142). Once added, you'll automatically receive an email notification with the latest updates.

The Run Payroll Button isnt working and neither is my payroll taxes

I am having payroll issues since august 17, 2020 in the afternoon. I am in Vancouver BC.

When I click the "Run Payroll" button, and select any pay schedule, my screen shows "Gathering Payroll Details" but keeps spinning.

A good starting point would be to make sure there are no bugs in the software due to a browser issue. To ensure your browser is running the program properly, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online
