Hello cara10,
It's good to hear you're increasing your staff member's yearly salary. Rest assured, I'll be happy to share more info so you're on the right path with achieving your QuickBooks goals. I'll be happy to guide you in the right direction with increasing the salary mid-year.
Since QuickBooks doesn't have the option to enter the effective date of when you make the salary change, you can still change the salary mid-year using the steps below:
I encourage you to try this out and let me know how you make out. I'll be one message away in case you need additional help. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week.
Thanks James, thank you for the confirmation - it would be good to have an effective date - especially for those employees who are on a hourly wage and are paid bi weekly, so for example, being able to make the minimum wage effective June 01 as an adjustment to the regular wage, rather than having to create a new wage line for the new amount.
I hear you on this. I'd be happy to pass this on to our engineers as feedback. You're also more than welcome to send feedback directly to our engineers by clicking on the Gear icon > Feedback. In the meantime, feel free to ask other questions, I'm here to help.
