Why do I not have time tracking in Quickbooks Online Plus?

I have gone to Advanced settings and there is no option for time tracking as per the instructions given by Quickbooks.

Why do I not have time tracking in Quickbooks Online Plus?

Hi Davian,

 

I'm glad to see you reaching out to Community!  Tracking time is a great feature for employees as well as entering billable time on your invoices, for hours spent on a project.  In QuickBooks Online you can turn on the feature from your company settings.  I can understand how you've hit a snag when trying to get started with time tracking based on the information you've provided.  I'd be happy to help!

 

Turn on time tracking by following these steps:

 

1. From the Gear in the top right, select Account and settings

2. Choose Time from the left menu

3. Hit the Edit icon to the right of General to enter your first day of the work week

4. Click on the Edit icon for the Timesheet section

5. Turn on Show service field and Allow time to be billable

6. Hit Save and then Done when finished

 

Here's how to add a time tracking user:

 

Click on the Gear in the top right and choose Manage users

Click Add user

Select Time tracking only

Hit Next and enter the supplier or employee you want to add

When complete, hit Save
