How do I start paying myself. Will not accept my name as an employee as I am entered in the expense list.

Welcome to the Community. I'll be happy to steer you in the right direction with paying yourself.

 

QuickBooks won't allow you have the same name in the Expense list and the Employee list. One recommendation is using a character on the name to differentiate the two names. While this is an option, I recommend reaching out to an accountant for expert accounting advice. If you're not in contact with one, I encourage you to search for one on our website using this link here.
