It's great to see you reaching out to Community. Welcome! QuickBooks online provides the ability to record gratuities, and add them directly to your sales forms. I would be glad to help!
To get started, you'll need to set up a liability account for the gratuity, if you don't have one already. Here's how;
1. Open your Settings ⚙, then Chart of Accounts under Your Company
2. Click on New in the upper-right corner
3. Select Other Current Liabilities from the Account Type drop-down menu
4. Choose Current Liability from the Detail Type drop-down list
5. Enter "Gratuity" in the Name field
6. Hit Save and Close.
Next, you'll need to set up the product/service item, by following these steps;
1. Go to your Settings⚙ and select Products and Services under All Lists
2. Select New
3. Choose Non-inventory, or Service as the item type
4. Give it a Name
5. Use the Income account ▼ dropdown menu, to choose the Gratuity liability account
6. For the Expense account, choose the Gratuity liability account
7. Hit Save and close.
