Hi akhtar24,
Being able to use your QuickBooks without error is what we strive to provide. I'd be happy to go over how to get rid of the script error.
All forms of QuickBooks Desktop use Internet explorer when they open up. If you're getting a script error that is because your QuickBooks is having an issue with connecting to it. If you don't have internet explorer at all on your computer that would be one of the causes of this. Another reason would be that it's not up to date. If you wish to disable this pop up from happening you'd need to go to Edit>Preferences>Desktop View and uncheck the show live community and help. This'll disable the script error as your QuickBooks will not be trying to access the internet for this feature.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out and we'd be happy to help!
Nick & Evans,
Thank you for your tips.
I tried Edit>Preferences>Desktop View and uncheck the show live community and help.
Even I closed QuickBooks completely, shut down the computer. Come back to QuickBooks desktop,
still getting the script error message.
Not solved yet.
Thanks, Akhtar
Hi Akhtar,
I can see that you've spent some time on this already, and I know how valuable your time is. I want to see you get this resolved.
As my colleague mentioned, QuickBooks Desktop opens Internet Explorer for the community help articles. Troubleshooting cache issues, the browser type, and other things like that are a good place to start. You can also check for firewalls that may be causing the issues with the community forum. Double-check that your meeting the system specifications listed in this link: System Requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2021.
If you continue to experience this issue, I recommend reaching out to a dedicated QuickBooks Desktop support agent through Intuit QuickBooks Desktop software support policies.
Let me know if you have any other queries. Take care.
