Being able to track your vendor returns and enter the credits or refunds into your company file is key to keeping your accounts and inventory up to date. I'd be happy to help you with entering refunds or credits into QuickBooks Desktop.
To enter vendor credits in QuickBooks Desktop you'll need to select Vendors>Enter Bills. This'll open the Enter Bills window and from there you'll need to select the Credit from the top of the Enter Bills screen. From there you should see the word credit show at the top of the form. Select the name of the vendor who issued the credit from the drop down menu. Make sure to enter the date as the date the credit was issued.
As for removing the inventory from your account you can do so by going to inventory activities and selecting adjust quantities. Before doing this however I recommend reaching out to your accountant as they're trained in how to make these entries.
