Can I have one project with three customers?

You can only assign a project to one customer, Clayton. Let me share the alternatives you may consider while I outline the steps to request this functionality from our developers.

I acknowledge the importance of streamlining your billing by keeping all project expenses in one place and dividing the costs among your three clients. Since this is currently unavailable, follow the steps below to submit a proposal:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
  3. Share your recommendation, then click Next.

Keep an eye on your suggestions on this website and visit our blog for recent developments.

As a workaround, you can create three projects detailing tasks on the notes to monitor their progress and bill each client separately. Otherwise, consolidate expenses under one project and manually divide the costs, invoicing each of them individually for their portion. Alternatively, explore third-party applications that support invoicing multiple clients for one project on the Apps menu.

After that, refer to this article to add existing expenses, timesheets, invoices, and track labour costs: Create and manage projects in QuickBooks Online and Accountant.

Furthermore, save this guide to register your receivables in the program: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

We are genuinely interested in your input as it may help enhance the program moving forward. Count on me if you need a hand in documenting invoices and payments. I'll be right here to assist you promptly.
