Can I install Desktop pro 2021 on work and home computers?

You are allowed to install a license for single user on two different machines. But you are not allowed to run them simultaneously. You must purchase a one-time QB Desktop 2021 license for 2 users to run at the same time. If you are the only one who needs to access both machines, you may need to have a third party app to store your data in the cloud. The app will integrate with your machine and you won't have to manually update QuickBooks data files.

In order to share information from QuickBooks Desktop between 2 computers, the two devices would need to be on the same network as well as you would need to have a version of QuickBooks Desktop with more than one user. I think I understand. I can run a single copy on both machines, but not simultaneously. I can use like Google drive as I currently do to sync work files and the qb data files.

If I want to run at home and work simultaneously, I need to purchase another license.

Is this correct? How much is this separate license? Would I just need to buy another copy from Costco?

I would only recommend using GDrive or any cloud storage to store backup files. You can purchase additional seat for your license from Costco, if they still offer it. Otherwise, you can purchase it from a partner/reseller worth around $500 for QB Desktop 2021 CA Pro for single user. To run QB in multiuser mode, every machines has to use the same exact license code. You have to contact Support and ask to merge the license later.
