"change password" question

I am facing a password question. When I log in using "Admin", the password works. After that, I met this " change your password" request, at this time I input the old password just same as the one I login successfully but now it doesn't work! Why? I used it just 5 seconds before this "change your password" page! I reset the password using password reset tool for many times but in vain. Please help me.

"change password" question

Hello cindypan,

 

You'll want to repair the program first to get this fixed. Let me guide you through how.

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows + E to open the Computer window.
    Note: In Windows 10, 8.1 and 8, click the Computer tab.
  2. Click Uninstall or change a program. In certain version of Windows it may just say repair.
  3. Click your QuickBooks Desktop version and click Uninstall/Change.
  4. Click Next and click the Repair radio-button.
  5. Click Next again and click Repair.
  6. Click Finish.

Once done, open QuickBooks and log in as admin again.

 

If you encounter the same error, please follow these steps to contact our Customer Support so we can escalate your file and reset your password manually.

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_CA/contact.
  2. Click QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Click Solve issues and error messages. Then, Common errors.
  4. Click Get Phone Number.

"change password" question

Hi,

I contacted your supporting people, he did fix this problem, no use password anymore. But this problem happened again after crashing and shut down. So I have to uninstall and then reinstall then create a totally new company file again. After I did those, it seems ok without setting any password, it did run for some time. When I close the desktop pro, then reopen it, the "change password" page occurred again and again... It really makes me mad!! All password I tried but don't work!! Help.!
