I'm trying to create a New Worksheet from a report. I've done this thousands of times. Today, it is giving me a Warning, saying "Excel allows 256 columns in a worksheet. This report has 61 columns (4 row title columns + 57 data columns. Use "customize" to change the number of columns in this report).
A couple of issues here:
- why did this just start happening?
- if excel allows 256 columns, why am I getting a warning when my report has only 61 columns?
- I can't find anywere in Customize to adjust the number of columns in the report.
- if it's a "warning", why can't I continue?

Welcome to the Community forum, Erin, Let's address the error message you're encountering while attempting to create a new worksheet from your report.
It's likely that your report did not exceed the column limit, but the warning may have been triggered due to an open QuickBooks dialog box interfering with its internal export process. To resolve this issue, make sure all dialog boxes are fully closed to allow QuickBooks to complete the export efficiently.
To close those open dialog boxes:
Once done, export the report again. Then, ensure that any minimized or hidden dialog boxes related to QuickBooks are completely closed before proceeding with the export.
Should you have any other QuickBooks concerns in the future, don't hesitate to post again. We're here to help.

I couldn't find any tabs open, so completely shut down and restarted... there must have been something hiding, as it's working perfectly now. Thank you for your quick response.
